Managed Core IT Services

Managed IT that keeps your South Florida business running

Local IT support that looks after your computers, servers, network and backups, so you can stop worrying about IT and get back to your customers.

Most small businesses do not have an IT department. They have a person who is 'good with computers', a vendor they call when something breaks, and a nagging feeling that nobody is checking the backups.

BizIT Consultants has supported South Florida businesses since 2017. I hold CompTIA, Microsoft and Cisco certifications and bring 23+ years in technology. I take care of the day-to-day work: answering your staff's questions, keeping every device patched, watching the network and making sure your data is backed up.

You get one local contact you reach directly, a clear list of what is covered, and a plan that fits your size. No jargon, and a clear list of what is covered.

Problems I help businesses solve

  • Every outage costs you a day

When a computer, printer or the internet goes down, work stops until someone figures it out. You need a fast answer, not a ticket that sits.

  • Nobody owns the updates

Unpatched computers and old software are an easy way in for attackers. Updates get skipped because nobody has the time to track them.

  • You are not sure the backups work

Many owners assume backups are running until the day they need one. A backup nobody has tested is a hope, not a plan.

  • One IT person is a single point of failure

If your go-to person is sick, on vacation or leaves, passwords and know-how walk out with them.

FAQ

Common questions

What is managed IT and how is it different from calling someone when things break?

With managed IT you pay a regular fee and I look after your systems before problems happen: updates, monitoring, backups and support. With break/fix you pay only after something fails, which tends to cost more in downtime.

How much does managed IT cost for a small business?

It depends on how many people and devices you have, how many locations, and how much security or compliance support you need. I quote after a short conversation so you see exactly what is included. Be wary of any price that does not say what it leaves out.

Do you support on site, or only remotely?

Both. Most issues can be fixed remotely and quickly. When hardware or cabling needs hands, I come to your South Florida office.

Can you work alongside my existing IT person?

Yes. Some clients want me to take over completely, others want backup for an in-house person. I can cover the gaps, such as after-hours help, projects or vacation coverage.

Are my backups included?

Local backups are part of the service, and I check that restores work. Online backups of cloud data such as email and files can be added through my cloud services.

What happens if there is a hurricane or a long power outage?

I help you plan ahead: backed-up data, a way for staff to work remotely, and a list of what to power down and bring back up. A plan made before a storm is much easier than one made during it.
