Custom Web Application Development

Custom web apps that replace your spreadsheets

Client portals, internal tools and dashboards built around your process, so your team stops fighting files and starts working from one reliable system.

Many small businesses run on spreadsheets, shared folders and email. It works until the file gets too big, two people edit it at once, or the one person who understands it goes on vacation.

Off-the-shelf software often fits badly: you pay for features you do not need and still work around what is missing. A small custom web app can do exactly your process, with logins, permissions, history and reports.

BizIT designs, builds and hosts these tools. I keep them small and practical, and I handle security and backups the way an IT company should.

Problems I help businesses solve

  • The spreadsheet that runs the business

One huge file holds orders, jobs or clients. It is slow, easy to break and hard to share safely.

  • No clear view of what is happening

You cannot see job status, balances or workloads without asking someone to pull a report.

  • Clients email you instead of checking themselves

Status questions, document requests and uploads eat staff time because customers have no place to look.

  • Software that does not fit

Packaged tools force your team to change how they work, or need expensive customization for small changes.

What I do

Custom Web Application Development

Why BizIT

What you get working with me

  • Built around how you work

The app follows your process, not the other way around, and it grows with you in small steps.

  • One source of truth

Everyone works from the same current data, with permissions and a record of who changed what.

  • Security handled by an IT professional

Access controls, encryption and backups are part of the build, not an afterthought.

  • 30 days

Florida's deadline to notify affected individuals of a data breach; businesses holding personal information must also take reasonable measures to protect it

How it works

From first call to working solution

  1. Step 1

    Understand the process

I sit with the people who use the spreadsheet today and write down what really happens.

  2. Step 2

    Scope a first version

You and I agree on a small first release with a written scope and estimate, so you see value early.

  3. Step 3

    Build and review

I build in short steps and show you working screens along the way for feedback.

  4. Step 4

    Launch, train and support

I move your data, train your team, and stay available for fixes and changes.

FAQ

Common questions

When is a custom web app better than off-the-shelf software?

When your process is unusual, when packaged tools force workarounds, or when you pay for many features you do not use. If a standard product fits well, I will tell you to buy it.

How much does a custom web app cost?

It depends on scope. A simple internal tracker is a much smaller project than a customer portal with payments. I give you a written scope and estimate for a small first version, so you can decide before major spending.

Can you replace my Excel or Google Sheets process?

Yes. I move the data into a proper database, rebuild the steps with forms, permissions and reports, and keep an export to Excel for anyone who needs it.

Who owns the app and my data?

Your data is yours, and I put ownership terms in writing before work starts. I use common, well-supported technology so another developer can take over if needed.

Is a web app secure enough for client information?

I build in logins, role-based access, encrypted connections and backups. Florida law expects businesses to take reasonable measures to protect personal information. I am not a law firm, so I help with the technical side and you should confirm legal duties with your attorney.

Can it connect to QuickBooks, Microsoft 365 or my other tools?

Most business tools offer ways to connect. I check what is possible during scoping and tell you if a connection would be costly or limited.
